If you only have a few days to spend in Greece it may be better to focus on one islandic destination than try to fit as much island hopping as possible and end up getting stressed with moving around all the time. For this package we've chosen Naxos, an jewel in the heart of the Cycladic complex, known for its diverse coast line which gives way to beaches of all kinds. Naxos' traditional villages hold secrets waiting to be revealed, as in each one you can find culinary delights, workshops reviving crafts you thought were long gone and an endless vibe of philoxenia (the Greek spirit of welcoming) from the locals!
Naxos is full of history no matter which corner of the island you find yourselves in. In Chora, the capital of Naxos, you can see the marks the Middle Ages have left in the Old Town and the Old Market. Near its port, the ancient gate of Portara still stands, greeting visitors as they approach the island. Outside the village of Chalki, you can visit the Church of Panagia Protothronos which dates back to the 6th century. On a quarry near the village of Apollonas you can see the Colossus of Dionysus, a huge marble statue dedicated to the God winemaking. So much history condensed in a single place, begging to be explored! What are you waiting for?
Why not enhance your trip by adding Santorini, Milos or Paros?
