A voyage through time awaits you in this package, as you explore the rich and complex history of the civilization that have centered around the Aegean Sea. Starting from Athens and with a meticulously designed tour to serve as a preamble of what's to come, with a full day tour to Delphi amplifying the importance of mainland cities during the era of Hellenism. Before you begin exploring the islands of the Aegean, you will first dip your toes into the seafaring ways of old, with a full day cruise to the island of the Saronic Gulf. Aegina, Poros and Hydra possess distinct identities and each is more charming than the previous one!

Time to board a ferry and travel to the sister islands of Paros and Naxos! Irrevocably intertwined due to their proximity and shared customs, those 2 gems in the heart of Cyclades are beloved by locals for decades! A slower pace will gradually take over your days on the islands and before you know it you will be mesmerized by the Parian & Naxian way of life! As a true ambassador of Mediterranean cuisine, Greek delicacies will add an unexpected culinary dimension to your journey, so make sure you sample as much as you can on every destination!

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Athens
    Upon arrival you will meet our assistant at the airport. Your driver will then transfer you to your hotel to take a load off. The rest of the day is at your leisure to begin your acquaintance with the city in any way you please. From the modern and vibrant bars of Agia Eirini, to the traditional taverns of Plaka, downtown Athens has something to offer for every taste within walking distance!

  • Day 2 – Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
    After breakfast you will meet our collaborator at the lobby of your hotel or someplace nearby, to start the morning half day Athens sightseeing tour which will take you to Athens’ most important sites and help navigate the hassle of locating these historic monuments on your own. You will travel back in time and see Athens through the centuries with the Acropolis its Museum setting the tone for what’s to come! Hadrian’s Arch, the Academy of Athens, the Greek Parliament in Syntagma square and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier are just some of the stops along the way!

  • Day 3 – Full Day Saronic Cruise
    Early in the morning you will meet our collaborator at the lobby of your hotel and be transferred to the Piraeus port to join a cruise to 3 wonderful islands in the Saronic Gulf. This full day cruise will take you to Hydra, Poros and Aegina, three quaint islands located near Athens, that have become favoured destinations by locals for a quick getaway from the bustling capital. Hydra, belongs to a niche group of islands, where cars are not allowed, so be prepared to do some walking. Aegina, a major naval force in antiquity is now famous for its pistachio products, so make sure you sample some of them. The Ancient Temple of Aphaia and the Saint Nectarios Cathedral are located on the island are constitute some of the most important monuments in the region. Poros, a tiny yet incredibly charming island, is immediately recognizable by many frequent travellers as you approach the port, because of the iconic clock tower that adorns the waterfront. Take advantage of your time far from the maddening crowds in these islands by exploring either by yourself, or by joining an organised excursion. Once you reach the port in the evening our collaborator will transfer you back to your hotel.

  • Day 4 – Full Day Tour of Delphi
    Experience the Greek mainland with a tour to the navel of the Ancient World, the Oracle of Delphi. Through the scenic routes and fertile plains of Beotia, you will cross the towns of Thebes, Levadia and Arachova, to reach Delphi, which sits on the foot of Mount Parnassus. Delphi’s strong ties to antiquity stem from the presence of the famous Oracle, whose ruins still stand proudly. There you will have the chance to visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Archaeological Museum, which features the bronze statue of The Charioteer. Lunch will be at the village of Delphi and afterwards you will make your way back to Athens by the same route. On the way there will be a quick stop at Arachova, before reaching Athens early in the evening.

  • Day 5 – Arrival in Paros
    Meet your driver at your hotel in the morning and you will be transferred to the port of Piraeus to catch the boat to Paros, your first stop in the Aegean Sea! Once you get to the port of Paros, you will meet our local collaborator and be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your disposal to spend as you wish. Exploring the capital of Parikia is always a safe choice, as the majestic town offers plenty of option to suit every taste!

  • Day 6 - Explore Paros
    Even though exploring Parikia could keep you busy for days, with the Venetian Castle known as Kastro, the Ancient Cemetery, the Byzantine Museum and the Church of Ekatontapyliani being just a few of the many attractions you can find in the capital, nobody would blame you if you just want to laze in a sandy beach the whole day! With such an exquisite shoreline, and wonderful beaches like Livadia, Piso Livadi, Logaras and the rocky Kolymbithres, sunbathing while intermittently cooling yourself in the refreshing Aegean waters is a perfectly viable option. Alternatively, sampling wines in Naoussa, walking the trails of Paros Park, or chasing callimorpha in the Valley of the Butterflies are also unique and interesting way to spend your day!

  • Day 7 - Travel to Naxos
    Your driver will transfer you from your hotel to the port to board the ferry to Naxos, your last stop in the Aegean Sea. As you approach the port, keep an eye out for Portara, the iconic ancient gate that adorns the Naxian port! On arrival you will once again be transferred to your selected hotel by our local collaborator. Take the rest of the day to acclimate to the Naxian rhythms and enjoy some local delicacies!

  • Day 8 – Experience Naxos
    Naxos’ fertile landscape and relatively large size provide a diverse ecosystem, with sandy beaches, mountains and more famously, the cedar forest at Alyko. Make sure you explore the natural side of Naxos and visit beaches like Pyrgaki, Kastraki and Agios Prokopios. Picturesque villages like Chalki and Apeiranthos retain the traditional Cycladic style and when combined with the famous Naxian hospitality, it may very well mean that a tour around the lesser-known corners of Naxos can lead to home cooked meals, traditional treats and plenty of local wine!

  • Day 9 – Return to Athens
    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the port to catch your ferry back to Athens. On arrival, our representative will be expecting you and drive you to your hotel for your last night in Greece. If you haven’t done so already, pick up some last minute souvenirs for your friends back home!

  • Day 10 - Departure from Athens
    You will meet our assistant at the lobby of your hotel and afterwards your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight out of Athens.
