Crete is such a vast island with diverse landscape that requires ample time for exploration. This package affords you the opportunity to do exactly this, without any further distractions.

Your journey begins in Athens, a city with immense history stretching over millennia, and yet featuring every modern comfort you would expect from a metropolis. During your only full day in the city, you will join a short, half day city tour to be guided through some of the most prominent sites Athens has to offer.Afterwards, you will be free to explore on your own and craft your own adventure from the myriad of options you can find!

The main course of your trip will be Crete, where you will reside in an all-inclusive resort in Hersonissos! You will bask in the elegance and luxury of your accommodation and use Hersonissos as a hub from which to launce expeditions throughout Crete! Coral beaches, idyllic lagoons, rugged gorges, picturesque villages, pious monasteries and many more await for you in an island that effortlessly combines such diversity, that you would be hard-pressed to understand how so many landscapes fit in the same patch of land!

  • Day 1: Arrival in Athens
    Our representative will be waiting for you at the Athens International Airport to welcome you to Greece, take you through your itinerary and answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, your driver will take you to your accommodation in the center of Athens. The remainder of the day remains at your disposal to begin exploring Athens as your heart desires!

  • Day 2: Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
    After breakfast you will join a morning half day Athens sightseeing tour, and visit many prominent Athenian sites in a short amount of time. The Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Acropolis will take you back to ancient Greece, Hadrian's Arch will remind you of the glory days of the Roman Empire, while more modern buildings such as the Academy of Athens and the National Library will give you a taste of the Greece that start forming after its independence! The evening will be at your leisure to continue your familiarization with the city at your own pace.

  • Day 3: Arrival in Crete
    As you leave Athens behind temporarily, our assistant will transport you to the airport to catch a flight to Heraklion. It is there that you will find our local representative who will take you to the town of Hersonissos, to your all-inclusive resort! Enjoy the many amenities, experiences and activities Creta Maris has to offer and bask in luxury!

  • Days 4, 5, 6: Explore Crete
    It is very tempting to spend your entire time on such a magnificent resort, but it would be a missed opportunity to not explore Crete using Hersonissos as your headquarters. With Heraklion is such close proximity a tour to the historic Palace of Knossos is a great idea and can be combined with a quick exploration of Heraklion, Crete’s largest city. If you wish to see the more traditional side of Crete, a tour of its East side can take you to romantic town of Agios Nikolaos, the charming village of Kritsa and Spinalonga, the small islet off the bay of Elounda that served as a leper colony for many decades!

  • Day 7: Return to Athens
    Say goodbye to Crete as our local representative transports you from your resort in Hersonissos to the Hreaklion airport for your flight back to Athens. As you must be expecting by now, another one of our representatives will pick you up and take you to your hotel Athens. Make the most out of your last night in Greece by explore the city to your heart’s content! Make sure to do some last minute shopping for souvenirs!

  • Day 8: Depart from Athens
    Pack your bags and meet our assistant at the lobby of your hotel. As you make your way to the Athens International Airport you may feel the need to return to Greece soon. Don’t worry, it is absolutely normal! When you do, we’ll be there to help you craft another adventure!
