An urban adventure begins! This summer you can explore the two largest cities of Greece, immerse yourselves in their respective rhythms, and learn about their diverse histories!
Starting from Athens, the cradle of Western democracy and a modern metropolis that effortlessly blends the old -or shall we say ancient- with the new. Traversing the city, one can find remnants of antiquity and exquisite neoclassical buildings, among modern bars and elegant cafes, compiling a picture hard to replicate around the globe. A carefully planned half-day tour is included to help you hit the ground running by doing as much sightseeing as possible, leaving you ample time to experience the rest of Athens!
The second part of your trip will take you to North Greece and Thessaloniki, a city marked by its prominent place within the Byzantine Empire! Magnificent churches of the Middle Ages can be found all around the city which is of course not shy of its own slew of ancient monuments. If you wish to have a quick break from the urban setting, you can always use Thessaloniki as a hub from which to launch expeditions to the various towns of Macedonia & Thrace!
