Charming alley in Nafplio on a winter's day
Package rate per person in double room From 2020

This winter you will be captivated by some of the most picturesque spots in Greece! You will get to experience two different worlds as you visit both the mainland and the Aegean side of the country by exploring the charming Peloponnesian town of Nafplio and the picture-perfect volcanic island of Santorini!

This adventure begins in Athens, a place that encompasses every aspect of a modern metropolis but still retains an aroma of the ancient world. The instantly-recognizable Acropolis looms over the center of the city while a myriad of ancient ruins spring up between cozy taverns and vivid bars to give Athens a truly unique flavor. Once you leave the capital, your private driver will take you to Nafplio on the Peloponnesian coast. A scenic town that always bears a romantic atmosphere as its lovely alleys lead to quaint local shops, beautiful gardens and a characteristically beautiful waterfront with a view to the floating fortress of Bourtzi situated on a nearby islet. You can explore Nafplio to your heart's content, or use it as a hub for excursions around the Peloponnese, like the Archaeological site of Mycenae or the Theater of Epidaurus, both of which are just a few minutes away!

After you bid adieu to the mainland, you will board a plane to the island of Santorini. A crescent-shaped rock sitting on the rim of a partially submerged volcano, Santorini's unlikely story has rendered it favored vacation spot for many. Since you are visiting in the winter though, you will be lucky enough to avoid the maddening crowds and enjoy the island as the locals do! The villages of Oia, Megalochori, Kamari and Pyrgos are great choices to find a traditional tavern and enjoy some local specialties, always accompanied with wine from the famous Santorinian estates. Among the multitude of ways you can spend your days exploring Santorini, the Akrotiri Lighthouse is perhaps one that should make every visitor's schedule. If you make it all the way on the edge of the island, be sure to pay a visit to the prehistoric settlement of the same name that is nearby!
