Smart Ten

Duration: 9 days / 8 nights
Plaka village in Milos
Package rate per person in double/twin room during low season From 1056

A package for truly ‘smart’ travelers that want to experience a mixture of Greek mainland and islandic destinations alternating between historically significance and natural beauty!

Begin your adventure in Athens, a modern, chaotic metropolis which combines all the contemporary comforts with a rich history that is irrevocably tied to antiquity. While you explore the former on your own, a half day sightseeing tour will help guide you through the latter. Time to live like an Athenian by leaving the city behind for a day and visiting some of the most popular destination for locals looking for a quick getaway! A full day cruise will take you to Hydra, Aegina and Poros, three gems of the Saronic Gulf, which will serve as an entrée to your future expedition in the Aegean.

However, before you set sail for the idyllic island of Milos, we have one more surprise for you! A 2 day tour of Delphi and Meteora that is carefully designed to serve as a concise way to experience Central Greece. First you will visit the Oracle in Delphi, whose prophecies led ancient Greeks to numerous war campaigns and then stand in awe in front of the geological wonder of Meteora, before you come to the stupefying realization that ageless Byzantine monasteries lay on top of the imposing rock pillars that rise from the valley below!

If you want your visit to Greece to include a diverse array of destinations, make the smart choice and book today!

Overwhelmingly preferred by locals over tourists both due to their proximity to Athens and for their distinct style, the islands of Hydra, Aegina and Poros will show you a different aspect of islandic Greece. Far from the crowds and featuring serene landscape, you will be captivated by the elegance of Hydra, the picturesque villages of Poros and the surprisingly rich cultural heritage of Aegina, where the Saint Nectarios Cathedral and the Ancient Temple of Aphaia take the stage!
    Overnight: Athens
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch (on tour)

  • Day 4 – Visit Delphi
In the morning our collaborator will pick you up and you will begin your journey through the fertile plains of Beotia, crossing the town of Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque Arachova before arriving in Delphi. Sitting on the foot of Mount Parnassus, the 'navel of the ancient world', earned the nickname due to its significance during antiquity. Visit the archaeological site of the Oracle, see the treasury of the Athenians, the Stadium where the Pythian Games were held and marvel on the chaotic view from the edge of the ancient Theater! Once the tour concludes, you will depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages of Central Greece along the way.
    Overnight: Kalambaka

Man’s design completes this testament to the wonders of nature, as on top of the pillars, stand Byzantine Monasteries, of immeasurable historical and religious importance. After you’ve visited some of them you will make your way back via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, where a short stop to see Leonidas' Monument across the road is in order, and finally arrive in Athens early in the evening.
    Overnight: Athens
    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 6 – Travel to Milos
In the morning, you have a transfer from your hotel to the port to hop on the ferry to Milos for a taste of the Aegean life! Once you reach Milos, our local collaborator will escort you to your hotel and after you’ve taken a load off you will be ready to start exploring the main town of Adamas. As the evening falls, take a walk down Adamas’ waterfront and find a fish tavern to have some dinner while the waves gently lick the shore below your feet!
    Overnight: Milos
    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 7 – Experience Milos
No one will blame you if you stay in Adamas to explore the town and its many picturesque shops, but it is highly rewarding to find a way to visit other places on the island as Milos features one of the more unique elements on the archipelago. Syrmata is a series of residences on the village of Klima which have been carved into the rock and used to belong to the island’s villagers. Usually featuring colorful balconies, on the top floor and a storage space for fishing boats on the ground floor, Syrmata give a splash of vivacity to the north coast of Milos. In another part of the island, the soft, white, volcanic rocks that cover the shore in Sarakiniko beach have been smoothed out by the waves and the wind to create a bizarre, almost surreal and yet strangely captivating landscape. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see it up close!
    Overnight: Milos
    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 8 – Return to Athens
After breakfast, you have a transfer from your hotel to the port to return to Athens. Upon arrival you will meet our assistant at the port and be driven to your hotel.
