Your trip is far over though, as what follows is the chance to experience mainland Greece with a 4-day classical tour. This marvelous tour will take you to historic cities like Delphi with its renowned oracle, Olympia from where you will visit Mycenae and the Epidaurus Theater and Meteora, the geological wonder, where you can admire Byzantine monasteries perched from steep cliffs. Then it’s off to explore the islands of the Saronic Gulf! A full day cruise will introduce you to Aegina, Poros and Hydra, an islands where cars have been banned for decades. Walk through the narrow streets leading from the port to hidden shops and traditional taverns to get a feel of the Greek islandic life.   • Day 1: Arrival in Athens
    Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel by your private driver. Have the rest of the day to relax and start your acquaintance with the city at your own pace. Athens contains an effortless blend of modern comforts and ancient monuments so however you chose to spend your first venture into exploring the capital, you won't be disappointed.

  • Day 2: Athens - Private Sightseeing Tour
    After breakfast we will meet you at your hotel, in order to start the morning Private Athens Sightseeing Tour. An essential part of any visit to Athens, this private tour will take you to the most important landmarks of the Greek capital like the Temple of Olympian Zeus, , culminating in the historic Acropolis and its magnificent museum. An amalgamation of culture, history and philosophy from both antiquity and the modern era. After witnessing history come alive you will have the afternoon at leisure for some well-earned rest.

  • Day 3: Athens to Olympia
    After breakfast we will meet you at your hotel or close by and depart on a four day Classical tour around mainland Greece. We will take the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, where we will make a short stop to marvel at what can only be described as a feat of human ingenuity. Back on the road and onto the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, a monument to the arts and a structure famous for its remarkable acoustics. We will then drive on to Mycenae where we will visit the archaeological site of the area which contains the famous Tomb of Agamemnon. Then it's off to Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic games, through the scenic routes of Central Peloponnese, as well as the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. It is there that we will stop for the night.

  • Day 4: Olympia to Delphi
    You cannot visit Olympia and not pay tribute to the ruler of Olympus, so that is what we will do in the morning with a visit to the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Afterwards, we will take a drive through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and the magnificent bridge of Rio-Antirio which connects the two sides of the Corinthian Bay. We will pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, to arrive in Delphi, our own sanctuary for the night.

  • Day 5: Delphi to Kalambaka (Meteora Monasteries)
    In the morning, we will visit the archaeological site where the Oracle once stood which houses important sites like the Athenian Treasury, the Amphitheater, the Pythian Stadium and the Temple of Apollo. Just looking down on the immense beauty of the Pleistos Valley  a feeling of awe will overcome you and you will fully understand why Delphi help such a spiritual place in the hearts of Ancient Greeks. Leaving the site, we will depart for Kalambaka, passing some picturesque villages of Central Greece along the way. 
    Overnight: Kalambaka

  • Day 6: Return to Athens
    In the morning we will visit Meteora, a geological marvel of vast, rock pillars rising up from the valley to create a unique spectacle that is a testament to wonders of nature. On top of the pillars, stand Byzantine Monasteries of immeasurable historical and religious importance. We will visit a number of the Monasteries before making our way back via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (where a short stop to see Leonidas' Monument across the road is in order) and finally arrive to Athens early in the evening.

  • Day 7: Athens - One Day Cruise to the Saronic Islands
    After a fulfilling breakfast you have a morning transfer from your hotel to the pier for an all day cruise to the scenic Saronic Islands. Lunch is served on board but don't fill up as little treats awai for you in each stop. Aegina is not only home to delicious pistachios, but also to the Temple of Aphaia and the Monastery of Saint Nectarios, both of which warrant a visit. In Hydra you will experience an island untouched by modernity as vehicles are not allowed anywhere. Elegant galleries and bistros populate the magnificent waterfront, while the canons in the castle of Kavos on the East side of the port betray the island's seafaring past. In Poros, a quaint spot just across from Peloponnese, you will discover the true meaning of island living. Have some coffee under the iconic Clock Tower and take a walk by the Old Windmill till you reach the beautiful Kiani Akti. You'll be returned back to your hotel in the early evening for some well-earned rest.

  • Day 8: Departure from Athens
    Your driver will be waiting for you at the lobby of your hotel to transfer you to the Athens International Airport for your flight back home. Hopefully you will be returning to Athens soon!

  • To ensure the safety of our guests, all transfers will be private and in line with health protocols.
  • The hotels included in our vacation programs comply with the mandatory health and safety protocols instituted by the Greek National Health Organization in collaboration with the Greek Government.
  • Appropriate clothing is required to visit the Monasteries. Long skirts below the knees for the ladies and long trousers for the gentlemen. The monasteries, also, provide long skirts before every entrance. The ladies can choose and wear a long skirt over their clothing, during the tour, and return it, prior to their departure.
  • The land tours are usually bilingual, implemented in English and one additional language (French or Italian).
  • The land tours include a complimentary pick-up / drop-off service from / to your hotel or other predefined spots in Athens and surrounding areas. Maximum duration of this service to gather / distribute tour participants is approximately 1 hour. Thus, pick-up time may vary for each guest and will be promptly provided by your personal agent.
