Athens - Milos - Folegandros - Santorini

Duration: 10 days / 09 nights
Chora in Folegandros during sunset

This package brings you a collection of alternative destinations to show a different side of Greece than the one most visitors tend to experience. With Athens as a starting point, you will have the chance to familiarize yourself with the most prominent monuments of the ancient Greek civilization as well as the museum of Acropolis, via a carefully planned sightseeing tour.

You begin your Aegean adventure in Milos, a volcanic island that is home to surreal landscape, like the famous Sarakiniko beach. Time for a sense of serenity to overcome you as you move on to Folegandros, a hidden gem on the edge of Cyclades. Traditional Cycladic architecture in a relaxing environment as well as opportunities for a hike to remote churches and isolated beaches. Finally, to spruce things up, comes Santorini, arguably the most well-known destination of your trip. Majestic in every way, Santorini combines the wild natural beauty that has been produced by the -now submerged- volcano of Thira, with all the amenities of the modern world. Taste the delicious local wines and take a sailing tour around the island to experience the island at its finest.

Don't miss out on the chance to create memories that you will cherish forever...

  • Day 3 – Arrival in Milos
In the morning, you have a transfer from your hotel to the port to hop on the ferry to Milos and set on a seafaring adventure in the Aegean. • Day 4 – Experience Milos
Although Milos has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years, the island still keeps a tight grasp on the traditions and customs that have shaped its identity. One of the more unique elements on the island is Syrmata, a series of residences on the village of Klima which have been carved into the rock. Usually featuring colorful balconies, Syrmata give a splash of vivacity to the north coast of the island. Another place that you shouldn’t miss out on, is the beach of Sarakiniko. The soft, white, volcanic rocks that cover the shore have been smoothed out by the waves and the wind to create a bizarre, almost surreal and yet strangely captivating landscape.
    Overnight: Milos
    Meals:  Breakfast

  • Day 5 – Arrival in Folegandros
Bid farewell to Milos and catch your transfer from your hotel to the port to board the ferry to Folegandros. Our local collaborator will be waiting for you in the port of Karavostasi in order to take you to your hotel.  We recommend you spend the remainder of the day exploring Chora’s narrow, cobblestoned alleys full of quaint shops.

  • Day 6 – Relax in Folegandros
Folegandros is a true hidden gem of the Aegean Sea that offers the chance to out your finger on the pulse of Cycladic living. Even in Chora, everything seems to move slower than usual as you walk under wooden balconies decorated with bougainvillea and hibiscus, whose scent fills the air. The village of Ano Meria is even more traditional as well as a great place to try local produce, while in Kastro you can visit a Venetian Fortress dating back to the early 13th century. Hiking trails around the island lead to small churches and secluded beaches for visitors looking to add a bit of adventure to their vacation.
    Overnight: Folegandros
    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 7 – Arrival in Santorini
Transfer from your hotel to Karavostasi (port of Folegandros) to reach Santorini, your last islandic destination on this trip. As Santorini comes into view, take a good look at the majestic sight of Fira, a whole Town spilling down the slope of a cliff into the Aegean. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel by our local collaborator. In the afternoon, explore the village or town your hotel is located in and try some local delicacies like fava and tomatokeftedes!
    Overnight: Santorini
    Meals: Breakfast

  • Day 8 – Explore Santorini
One day free to explore Santorini, and choosing between the multitudes of things to do can be a headache. Between the Hot Springs, the uniquely colored volcanic beaches on the south coast, the pre-historic settlement of Akrotiri, the picturesque Oia & Imerovigli and the wine Estates spread around the island, there are so many options that can fill up your day. Perhaps it would be smarter to combine a number of those sites by joining a catamaran sailing tour around the island if you love the sea!
