  • Holy Tuesday (April 30th) - Arrival in Athens
    On arrival at the Athens International Airport, our representative will be waiting to assist and welcome you! You will then be escorted to your car and transferred to your hotel by your personal driver. As soon as you feel ready, hit the town and begin exploring Athens, a city that has existed for millennia, as every nook and cranny can attest! In the old town, neighborhoods like Thissio and Plaka offer a variety of bars and restaurants with a view of the Acropolis for your first truly authentic Greek meal!

  • Holy Wednesday (May 1st) - Athens Half Day Sightseeing Tour
    In the morning you will join an essential tour for any visitor to Athens; the half day Athens sightseeing tour! Our collaborator will meet with you at the lobby of your hotel or someplace nearby, and you will proceed to visit historical sites which include the Greek Parliament in Syntagma Square, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch, the National Library and of course the Acropolis and its accompanying Museum among many others! Take the rest of the day to explore the city as it's getting ready to celebrate Pascha - the Greek Easter!

  • Maundy Thursday (May 2nd) - Arrival in Poros
    In the morning, your driver will transfer you from your hotel to the port of Piraeus in order to board the ferry boat to the island of Poros, on the edge of the Saronic Gulf. You will reach your destination after about an hour or so and in the port of Poros our local collaborator will be expecting you in order to drive you to your hotel. In the afternoon, the Easter traditions begin with a demonstration of the dyeing of red eggs. The roots of the custom's significance will be explained during the process and in the end you will be able to take some with you and test their resilience with the "tsougrisma" or breaking of the eggs. Time permitting, there may also be a baking demonstration of the traditional Tsoureki (Easter bread) and Koulourakia (Easter biscuits).

  • Good Friday (May 3rd) - Epitaphios procession
    On Good Friday -a somber day throughout Christendom- comes one of the more poetic and beautiful Easter Orthodox traditions: the Epitaphios. This liturgical symbol typically consists of a large, embroidered and often richly adorned cloth and decorated with flowers, to symbolize the tomb of Christ. In the morning you will take a tour to various churches around town and see the different designs of Epitaphioi for yourself. In the evening, these Epitaphioi will be paraded through the town with religious processions and candlelit vigils. You will be joining one of those processions that all end up in the waterfront of Poros, which creates a unique spectacle that is hard to find at any other time of the year.

  • Holy Saturday (May 4th) - Easter Celebration
    The morning is at your leisure to explore the island - perhaps a visit to the Sanctuary of Poseidon can give a touch of antiquity amidst the Common Era rituals. In the evening you will resume the Holy Week processions with an escorted visit to a church in order to attend part of the first Resurrection Service, before proceeding to a local tavern for a taste of Mageiritsa, a traditional soup served everywhere only during the Holy Week. Since it is an acquired taste, alternative options will be provided for the less daring among you. However we do recommend you give it a try!

  • Easter Sunday (May 5th) - Traditional Easter Feast
    It's finally here! Easter Sunday - and the feast that comes with it- is in every sense the main course of the Holy Week and what most Greeks look forward to all year long! At your hotel you will partake in a traditional celebration with unlimited wine and the traditional barbeque or Souvla which is slowly prepared all morning. This process takes hours during which drinks, folk dances and general merriment fills the air with an enthusiastic and celebratory vibe. Once the Souvla is ready to be served and everyone sits down at the table, a traditional culinary journey unlike no other will begin!

  • Renewal Monday (May 6th) - Return to Athens & Fly to Santorini
    Our local collaborator will escort you from your hotel to the port of Poros in order to board the boat to Piraeus. No rest for the wicked as on arrival your driver will be waiting to transfer you to the Athens International airport to board a flight to Santorini! Yet another transfer will be waiting on the jewel of the Cycladic complex, this time to take you to your selected hotel for some well-earned rest! There is no better way to end a day of travelling than with some Santorinian wine overlooking the majestic volcanic caldera.

  • Bright Tuesday (May 7th) - Half-day Santorini Sailing Cruise
    After a fulfilling breakfast, and perhaps some rest by the pool of your hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel or nearby and head to the coast of Santorini to board a catamaran and begin a half-day sunset sailing cruise! You will sail around the crescent-shaped island of Santorini, swim in the Aegean Sea, and visit iconic sites like the Venetian Lighthouse, the Black Mountain, the Red Beach and the hot springs! Drinks and BBQ will be had on board and as the sun slowly dips in the Aegean Sea and the sky fills with a golden hue, you will make your way back to the shore and prepare for a night out in the town!

  • Bright Wednesday (May 8th) - Explore Santorini
    A whole day left up to you to explore Santorini! Whether you wish to see the picturesque villages of Imerovigli, Kamari and Oia or spend your day exploring the Estate wineries of Santorini, there is no wrong answer! For those wishing to inject a touch of history into this part of your vacation, the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri on the south side of the island features frescoes and artifacts from the Minoan civilization and is estimated to date back to the 4th Millennium BCE.

  • Bright Thursday (May 9th) - Return to Athens
    After you've had your breakfast you will join our assistant who will drive you to the port of Santorini in order to board the ferry back to Athens. Once there, your personal driver will transport you to your selected hotel for your last night in Athens. One last traditional meal is a must, but first make sure you don't forget to pick up some souvenirs for you friends back home!

  • Bright Friday (May 10th) - Departure from Athens
    After breakfast pack up your memories of Easter in Greece and meet our representative at the lobby of your hotel who along with your personal driver will transport you to the Athens International Airport in order to board your departure flight. We hope to see you again in Greece soon!
