Journey to the Oracle of Delphi and the Greek Islands

Duration: 7 nights / 8 days
The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, Delphi
per person in triple room / cabin From 1149

This quite diverse package features a unique journey to antiquity along with a visit to the most popular Greek islands and one of Turkey's principle holiday resorts, Kusadasi. With a beautiful sea-view hotel as your starting point, away from the bustling Athens city center, discover the most famous sights of Athens and take advantage of your free time for shopping and further exploration.
Continue your journey with a mainland trip to Delphi and walk between the remnants of a unique sanctuary, through ancient inscriptions and temples dedicated to ancient Greek gods. Leave the mysterious mainland behind and heave your anchors for the island of Mykonos, a place famous for its unique sceneries and endless nightlife where Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of merriment or wine, still reigns supreme. Take pictures next to traditional windmills backdropped by bright-white buildings, gathered around a marina dotted with colorful fishing boats bobbing on the brilliant blue Aegean.
Take a short visit to Kusadasi, a place which used to be a small village but today has become a bustling town with curios, leather and carpet shops in every corner. Enjoy an optional tour to historic Ephesus. Then let us take you from the cosmopolitan places to the awe-inspiring and mysterious island of Patmos. A strangely isolated island, evolved uninterruptedly since the 12th century, where St. John had his vision and wrote the apocalypse. Then follows the island of Rhodes. A place that hosted in antiquity on of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Colossus of Rhodes. Discover the island’s eventful past visible in every corner, from medieval monuments of the UNESCO world heritage to traditional elements. And there is more to go!
Next stop is Heraklion, on the island of Crete, where you can enjoy the traditional Cretan lifestyle, the local delicacies and the hospitality of the Greek people. And last but not least, the icing on the cake, Santorini. A romantic gateway encircled by deep blue waters, beaches with white, red or black volcanic pebbles and sunsets tinted with all the hues of a colorist’s palette.
