Your next outing will be an organized full day tour of Delphi. Visit the "Naval of the Earth" in which the most famous oracle of antiquity used to stand. See the ancient treasury of Athens and the Temple of Apollo, monuments whose prestige extends far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic world.

Time to see the blue of the Aegean, so board your cruise ship and anchors aweigh! Your 4-Night Iconic cruise begins in Mykonos, a cosmopolitan island famous for its vivid nightlife as much as it is for the tradition Cycladic windmills sprinkled all over. A short visit to the coast of Turkey is up next. In the bustling town of Kusadasi you will disembark and can opt to join a mini excursion to ancient Ephesus. The sites of immense historical importance do not stop there, as your next stop is the awe-inspiring Patmos, where Saint John wrote the Book of Revelations. Continuing on the Dodecanese islands, Rhodes is next. Home of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, today Rhodes is more reminiscent of medieval times, with the many civilizations that have passed through the island creating a unique amalgamation. Afterwards you can relax at the port of Heraklion in Crete. Try the local delicacies but keep in mind that another excursion is coming up! Should you choose to join, you will visit the palace of Knossos, a marvel of the Minoan era. • Wednesday - Rhodes
Another early morning call, this time in an island that at first glance may not remind you of Greece. Although part of the ancient Hellenic World, as well as the modern State of Greece, Rhodes; tumultuous history has seen the island conquered by Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and even Crusaders, with the latter being perhaps the most influential. The ‘Knights of Rhodes’, as the Knights Hospitaller renamed themselves after the landed on the island, rebuilt the city in the European Medieval ideal. You can choose to participate in the shore excursion to the Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of the Knights which will illustrate the degree to which the island changed in just a few years. In the Old Town, the Palace of the Grand Master is a particular highlight of the tour!

  • Thursday - Crete (Heraklion) & Santorini
Your last day of the cruise will bring you to two separate destinations, tied to the Minoans, which some archaeologists believe to be the earliest European civilization. On the island of Crete, and specifically Heraklion, you will have the opportunity to join an optional tour of the Palace of Knossos, the center of culture and political in Crete since the Neolithic era. If you just feel like exploring the city of Heraklion on your own, make sure you climb up to the Lions Square and see the Moronisi fountain! Your second port of call for the day will also be the last destination of your cruise. One might say we saved the best for last as Santorini is definitely the most well-known of the Greek islands worldwide. Situated on top of a submerged, yet still active volcano, the caldera around which the crescent shaped island is wrapped, has graced Santorini with magnificent landscape and stupendous sunsets. Other byproducts of past volcanic activity are the Red Beach and Black Beach on the south side of the island, and the incredibly diverse selection of exquisite local wines being produced in the fertile volcanic Santorinian soil.
