We begin this spiritual journey by picking you and your party up from your hotel in Athens. Driving through the scenic routes of Central Greece and Thessaly, you will get the chance to marvel at the natural beauty of the region. A calmness of spirit is bound take over you as you retrace the steps of countless pilgrims that have made the same journey over the centuries. A short 15 minute stop will give you the chance to breathe in the fresh air of the country and stretch your legs before we hop back in the van in order to reach our final destination.

In Meteora you will be stricken by the majesty of nature as before you will stand a unique geological formation of massive rock pillars rising from the fertile valley below. Amidst striking scenery, perched on those huge rocks, stand ageless Byzantine monasteries which seem to be suspended in mid-air. Sanctity oozes from every pore of Meteora and each of the six monasteries that are still in operation is a testament to the beauty of Byzantine art. You will have two hours to explore as many of the monasteries as you wish.

Back in the van, we will drive to the quaint nearby town of Kalambaka where we will take an hour-long break for lunch. We will return to Athens via the same scenic route and have another 15 minutes top along the way. In the evening we will drop you off at your hotel.
