We will start by picking you up from your hotel in the Town of Corfu, and hop on to your air-condition vehicle as we head north-west to Paleokastritsa. This picturesque region's crown jewel is the Monastery of the Virgin Mary, sitting atop a remote hill. To reach the monastery we will take a narrow, winding road that cuts through lush, green groves and tall trees. The Church was built in the 13th century with the monk's cells being added some 500 years later. The grounds are still inhabited today and on the lower level you can finds some benches with local products produced by the monks, such as olive oil, jams, kumquat liqueur and limoncello.

Back on our trusted vehicle, we will drive through the magnificent countryside of Corfu until we reach Kanoni, arguably one of the island most impressive spots. The name is derived after the French artillery set up there less than a decade after the French Revolution (circa 1798). Far from its military roots, Kanoni is now a scenic spot that makes shutterbugs drool as the incredible vew is supplemented by the 17th century Monastery of Vlacherna sitting on an islet just below Kanoni, while in the distance you can see the small, serene island of Pontikonissi or 'Mouse island'.

The last stop on our tour will be the Old Town of Corfu, a place of such historical significance that is in its entirety a UNESCO World Heritage Site! We will stroll around the Old Town and visit significant places that have marked the history of the island, like the residence of the British High Commissioner, a splendid Edwardian building that was once the seat of the Knights of Saint Michael and Saint George before becoming the Palace of the King of Greece. In front of it stands the impressive bronze statue of the British High Commissioner, Sir Frederick Adam. We will then proceed to the Venetian quarters of Campiello, a labyrinth of narrow, tall houses that served as Corfu's historical center. Continuing further we will reach the Town Hall, once a Venetian theater, built in 1690. Finally we will visit the Cathedral of Saint Spiridon, patron saint of Corfu. The church houses many rare icons, as well as body of the Saint himself, which lies in a crypt. Before returning to your hotel you will have ample time to browse on your own and pick up souvenirs.
