*Remark for the cruise: Gratuities are optional but as a rule satisfied clients are expected to give to the captain, at the end of the cruise, approximately 11.00-13.00 euro per person per day for distribution among all crew members.

  • WEDNESDAY - ATHENS: On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our minibus or taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure.
     
  • THURSDAY - ATHENS: After breakfast we meet you at your hotel or close by in order to start the morning Half Day Athens Sightseeing Tour.
     
  • FRIDAY - ATHENS/CRUISE:  Early afternoon transfer from your hotel to the port for embarkation on your cruise ship at Marina Zea in Athens, between 2-3 pm. Enjoy a welcome drink and meet your crew and fellow passengers. Sail for Poros for a short 3 hours visit, before set sail to Poliegos. Overnight at sea.
     
  • SATURDAY - POLIEGOS-FOLEGANDROS: Morning arrival in Poliegos, a very small island known for its amazing beaches. Morning swim stop followed by a BBQ on deck. Afternoon sailing to Folegandros, one of the most amazing and less known islands in the Aegean Sea. Walk the amazing Upper city, and have the possibility to taste delicacies at traditional Greek tavernas. Overnight in Folegandros.
     
  • SUNDAY - SANTORINI: Early in the morning depart  for Santorini. Morning arrival at Santorini (occasionally at anchor) to explore its unique capital Fira. Optional Excursion to Akrotiti excavations and a tour of the villages including the small beautiful village of Oia know for its breathtaking view over the caldera. Overnight in Santorini.
     
  • MONDAY - ANTIPAROS - PAROS: In the morning you will enjoy a swim stop in an enchanting bay of Antiparos. Early noon arrival in Paros. Visit Parikia and the quaint village of Naoussa. Time to have a fun night and show us your dancing skills during our famous Greek Night. Overnight in Paros.
     
  • TUESDAY – DELOS - MYKONOS: Optional morning tour to the unique archaeological site of Delos, antiquity’s most sacred island. Later on, we stop at one of Mykonos beautiful bays for swimming off the ship before sailing into the port of Mykonos. The island of the jet setters is yours to explore and the night is young. Overnight in Mykonos.
     
  • WEDNESDAY - SYROS :After a morning swim we will arrive in Syros, the capital of the Cycladic islands where you can enjoy one of its beautiful sandy beaches or walk through town and enjoy the unique architecture of the buildings. Overnight in Syros.
     
  • THURSDAY - KYTHNOS - SOUNION - ATHENS: In the morning we will arrive in Kythnos where you will enjoy a swim in Kolones bay and will then set sail for Marina Zea where we will arrive in the late afternoon via Cape Sounion, the temple of Poseidon. Captain’s Farewell Dinner and overnight in Marina Zea.
     
  • FRIDAY – ATHENS :  Disembarkation at 8-9 am after breakfast, and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens. Afternoon at leisure.
     
  • SATURDAY – ATHENS / OLYMPIA:  Early in the morning departure for the 4 days classical tour. Today visit ancient Mycenae and Epidaurus theatre, famous for its acoustics. After a short stop at Nafplion depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnesus. Overnight in Olympia.
     
  • SUNDAY – OLYMPIA / DELPHI: In the morning visit the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge of Rio-Antirio. Arrive in Delphi, overnight.
     
  • MONDAY – DELPHI / KALAMBAKA: In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka.
     
  • TUESDAY – KALAMBAKA / ATHENS: Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens for overnight stay.
     
  • WEDNESDAY – ATHENS / AIRPORT: After breakfast, you will be met by our assistant and transferred by our minibus or taxi driver to the airport for your return flight home.

Remark: Cruise itinerary can be changed at the discretion of the cruise company (Variety Cruises) and of the vessel's Captain in case of adverse weather conditions - winds of 6/7 beaufort or more depending on the vessel- on port authorities not allowing a vessel to leave port or in case of other extraordinary conditions. Such itinerary changes do not entitle automatically passengers to any refunds but Variety Cruises guarantees that passengers are disembarked at the advertised port of disembarkation on time for their flights.

M/S GALILEO:  The 48 meter "Galileo" is a classic steel Motor Sailer, with spacious and well appointed interiors renovated in 2016. At the main deck, a lounge area with an American bar leads into a warm and elegant dining room finished with wood and leather. Guests on the Galileo enjoy the most a shaded outdoor deck area with an outdoor bar and the ship's sun deck. The M/S Galileo, built with the most stringent safety regulations, was launched in 1992 and rebuilt in 2007.
