Is there anything better than enjoying your breakfast and thinking about the exciting morning stroll you are going to experience during the rest of your day? You have landed in Athens, the centre of Greek culture! Don’t waste any of your time, just start your exploration!
Our local expert will be your guide for the rest of your walk. Starting your tour at Syntagma Square, you will admire the impressive building of the Greek parliament as well as the famous evzones. You will learn the historic importance of the area, one of the most central places of the city.

Leaving Syntagma Square, through a beautiful walk, you will find yourself at Plaka, the most famous neighborhood of Athens! Beautiful neoclassical buildings, pedestrian streets, picturesque cafes and restaurants with appetizing flavors are everywhere around you. Your local guide will inform you about significant historical traits and help you discover a number of hidden spots.

Could you resist the temptation not to fill your suitcase with the fantastic souvenirs you are going to find at Adrianou street? In this place you will spend much of your time to find the perfect keepsake for your trip among numerous options: clothes, jewellery, organic cosmetics, traditional delicacies, art crafts and so many other things!

After having crossed Adrianou street, your local expert will lead you to the most picturesque and beautiful place of this area, the so called Anafiotika. Full of whitewashed stairs, small cafes and tiny houses makes you feel as if you were on a Greek island, justifying the name given “an island under Acropolis”! And since Anafiotika deserves some of your time, your local friend will guide you to a beautiful café with a magical ambiance to enjoy drinking a cup of a traditional Greek coffee. If you are lucky and the weather is sunny, you will have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking view to Acropolis and the entire city!

Through a lovely and scenic route and after taking many photos, you will reach Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, the “grande promenade” of Athens. But be careful, as a roman house can be found suddenly below your feet! Your morning stroll goes on through a hidden shortcut. You’ll have the chance to listen to great stories from Greek mythology, you will see the road where the Panathenaia (the Athens celebration) were held in the past and you will also admire some of the most beautiful houses of the city.

Next stop of this walk will be the Roman Market, where you will be informed about the historic importance of this archeological place and admire Adrianos’ impressive library. At this point, you will learn a lot about the great monuments built in that area. You are already at Monastiraki Square, the most crowdy and vivid place of the city! Following your local expert, you will walk at the well-known Flea Market with the peculiar shops, choosing among Greek sandals, colourful beads and CDs.

At last, you are walking towards your final destination of this tour finding yourself at the most alternative corner of Athens, the one and only Psirri! Leaving back historical monuments, you can now meet a neighborhood full of insiders and impressive street art with peculiar traits. It’s time for you to decide how you want to end this city-centre tour, either with a tasteful traditional Greek pastry or with delicious Greek food and wine…? The choice is all yours!
