Tinos, the holy island that is home to the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary, also offers secluded beaches, quaint little mountain villages and, in the area around the village of Volakas, a surreal landscape of gigantic boulders. You can get to Tinos from Athens normal ferry (about 4.5 hours) or fast boat (about 3 hours).
